Evelyn Peters, a native of Alaska, has been a professional artist since 1974 and an Official Coast Guard Artist since 1987, winning their top award in 1993.She currently favors acrylic (which she has been using since the late 1960’s), although she has worked and taught in most media. There are over 1000 works In corporate, museum, public and private collections worldwide.

Honors and awards are many in art and in public service. She was a recipient of the International Peace Prize in 2003 awarded by the United States Cultural Convention for her Work in Arts and Communications among cultural diversities worldwide. Continuing to paint although she has reached her eighth decade, Evelyn feels that she continues to learn and to improve her work. Proof of this is her constant sales and requests for Commissions. A member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters, she was recently awarded ISAP Life Membership. She also holds ISAP Signature status. A former member of NAPA USUK, and the Salmagundi Club among others; she is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and is also listed in 2000 Designers and Artists of the 20th Century.
